Illinois Quilters
Calendar
Have you always wanted to make a red and white quilt but didn't know where to start? At this workshop we will be cutting pieces for 1-3 different quilts and exchanging fabrics to add variety. You will be sewing sample blocks for what you are cutting.
-6 fat quarters or long quarters of RED quilt-shop quality fabric. Try to have 4 of them in the definitely red range, with the remaining two heading off into the red-orange or red-plum range.
-2 yards of whatever white you wish to use. Make sure there is more available should you want to make larger quilts.
OR, use scrap whites/white prints--also lovely!
OR, Lynn will have yardage of Kona Snow available for purchase at-cost in quarter yard increments.
-Sewing machine
-Rotary cutting supplies (cutter, ruler, mat)
-Machine sewing supplies, including thread
NOTE: we will not be pre-washing the fabrics, so you need to be comfortable with the "Laundry Fairies" and color catchers watching over your quilt when you wash it.
